Information you choose to provide
If you email Habit Cake, the message and information you include are received so Habit Cake can respond, protect the service, or address a correction or accessibility request. Do not send medical records, financial account information, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive details.
Newsletter subscriptions are handled by Substack. Substack applies its own privacy terms and controls to information submitted there.
Analytics and cookies
Analytics storage is denied by default. If you select Allow analytics, the site may use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand neutral route views and actions. The approved implementation does not send subscriber identity or email through the Habit Cake analytics bridge. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization remain denied.
The site stores a first-party consent-choice cookie so it can remember the analytics choice. Google Analytics may process device, browser, approximate-location, session, and interaction information when analytics consent is granted. User-level and event-level GA4 retention is configured for 14 months. Habit Cake does not use the website analytics configuration to sell personal information or run targeted advertising.
Choices and requests
You can select No thanks in the analytics choice. You can also clear site cookies in your browser to reset the choice. To ask a privacy question or request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, email kevin@habitcake.com.
General limits
The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Security measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security. This notice may be updated when the website, vendors, data uses, or legal obligations change; material changes should receive a new effective date.
